CARVING CLASSES

Beginner & Advanced Classes  

• Registrations for all classes can be made with a quick phone call.  Usually the start date is approximately 10 weeks into any season.  A $100.00 deposit is required to hold a spot for you.

  Level 1 is a Beginner Class 6 weeks (18 hours) long where participants create their own wood spirit from a log.  Students learn the art of carving, visualization of the human face, refining features, and choosing the correct tools. Wood log (poplar is recommended) must be provided by student. 

Level 2 Facial Features is a 5 week (12 hour) class that is offered for those who have completed Level I.  Facial features including whiskers, beard, eyebrows and the female face are the focus of the class. Wood log  must be provided by student.    

Advanced Laminate Projects is a multi-week class depending upon the project.  Initial classes involved the Gargoyle carving, however other themes are option.  Talk to Keith about your idea and the kind of wood that you would like to use.
